CROSS DOG Biography

Cross Dog are a loud experimental punk band from Peterborough Ontario, who draw influence from classic metal and stoner rock. The band's lineup is unique, making noise with only bass and drums and fronted by an aggressive, female lead vocalist. They are quickly becoming known for their intense and high energy live show, leaving audiences deafened and blown away by a huge sound from so few strings. Politically charged and socially conscious lyrics provide a bratty, tongue-in-cheek edge that is firmly planted in the band’s punk rock roots. Forming in January 2013, they released their first album in June of that year and May 2015 marked the release of their second album 'Vigilante'. 'Vigilante' was produced by Dave Baksh (Sum 41, Black Cat Attack) and mixed and mastered by Greg Dawson (Cunter, Olde). The band has shared the stage with a wide assortment of bands, including The Misfits, Dayglo Abortions, Anti Flag, Public Animal, Skull Fist, and Fuck The Facts; a testament to their unique blend of rock and roll. Cross Dog have spent their days and nights touring Ontario and eastern Canada, and have played several festivals around Ontario, including Canadian Music Week, Ottawa Explosion Weekend, and WayHome. Cross Dog are currently writing their third record, with an expected release in 2017. The band members are: Tracy A - Vocals Mark Rand - Bass/Vocals Mikey Reid - Drums For fans of Black Flag, Fu Manchu, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, Refused, and Motorhead. Bass-driven, experimental punk rock and roll.
