Sagas

In late 2010, after the breakup of multiple local bands, 6 musicians got together with a goal to write music to strike inspiration, hope, hate, nostalgia and the most powerful of emotions into their listeners. After a drummer change and the loss of a guitarist, they embarked on a self promoted and funded west coast tour with WA native, IDOLS. After returning and spending time writing, the next step was to enter the studio. The3 track EP was recorded and mixed by engineer Sam Pura, owner of Panda Studios, in Fremont CA. Many locals shows were played, both friends and enemies made along the way; up until the loss of bassist Nick Justus, and drummer Matt Mavroudis. Remaining members were left to wonder what would happen next, but they endured and pressed on. Using the time to write and track demos/pre-production, an evolved sound was imagined and attained. Strength came from old friend, Travis Barrow, who joined the group to fill the missing drummer spot. With the line-up complete, SAGAS has plans to return to the live scene starting AUGUST 3rd in Walnut Creek, Ca. The lineup is to include LIONHEART, KINGS OF HATE, EIDOLA HELMS DEEP, THE KIDS WE USED TO BE.. More shows have been booked and the future is looking solid.
