Blaze and Kelly Biography

Two beautiful woman equipped with "pipes" (undeniable resonate vocals), acoustic guitar and fretless bass have recieved the city of Boise's attention. They were voted Boise's most busiest band ("Boise Weekly") and after teaming up and touring since 2004, others cities are falling captive to their musical wooing.

It is tempting to compare them to bands like the Indigo Girls, which they are not, but if you must compare, compare them to Xanex, Celexa, or Prozac because they are better than any mood lifter on the market! These two woman have an inner connection with each other, frequently chiming in with comedic banter. Their intertwined harmonies will set your soul asail, letting you forget about what was troubling you before coming to the show. People keep coming back for more, as they are a unique catalyst for crowds to make friends and feel included. Fans find a place to belong, and feel connected listening to original songs like "Beautiful", which the whole room quiets for, reflecting on all the qualities of life for which we're forever grateful. "Coming to a show is like therapy, I find a "home" here amongst the other listener's", one fan touts.

Mo Kelly originated from the wine country of northern California. She had played piano, then bass and also wrote and sang for high-school choir. Niccole Blaze came from a small town in South Jersey and started playing the guitar by age eight and crafted songs as an early teen. They met by chance in North Idaho and since those days, they have been asked to open for such artists as, Shawn Colvin, Karla Bonoff, David Wilcox, The Greencards, The Subdudes, and Nina Gerber. They have met with icons such as Lawrence Juber and Emily Sailers as well as many others. Niccole has studied with Berklee College of Music and has led students on a new journey of music while teaching residencies. She has won regional song contests and has been the recipient of local entertainment awards, ASCAP plus awards, and selected among thousands for the Independant Artist Registry.

Their trilogy of original heart and soul music: "Despite the Dents", "Smile", "Life is Beautiful" ties in it's own title message depicting hope to over come hard times. Their collection runs through real life struggles and triumphs such as a waggy-tail song of "Diggy Dog", to a heart-felt reality of "Mamma", a song about losing a parent. They recently finished a live studio recording entitled "Above the Rain". A masterful melody with powerful lines such as, "the greatest stars shine in the darkest night," which let us know that these two rising stars will be around for a very long time.
