About this concert
As the finale of Durham Independent Dance Artists - DIDA's 2018 season, The Bipeds present '54 Strange Words', a psychedelic movement and live music experience that treads along the mysterious threshold between dreams and reality, while blurring the line between dance and song. Choreographer Stacy Wolfson and musical director Curtis Eller draw the show's imagery from a series of nightmares and the failure of language to adequately express these unsettling visions. Movement and live music (featuring The Bipeds' scorching rock n' roll band) emerge as the only effective methods of illuminating the disturbing world in which the performers find themselves.June 21 at 8pm* June 22 at 8pm* June 23 at 8pm** June 24 at 6pm**cocktail hour prior to show time, come mingle with the artists! **Saturday's performance will be followed by a raucous after-party!Featured Performers: Curtis Eller, Stacy Wolfson, Jessi Knight, William Commander, Dana Marks, Jack Fleishman, Joseph Dejarnette, and William Dawson
