Jeremy Bar-Illan Biography
Born and raised in New York City, Jeremy Bar-Illan is a blues guitarist and singer/composer who has been recording and performing since 1979.
His work as a guitarist has received much acclaim, often compared to legends like Eric Clapton and Hendrix.
His New album, "Diggin' In!" released October 13, 2016 - a collection of classic blues covers - has received tremendous reviews.
In addition to performing, Jeremy is very active with non-profits that use music as a healing process. He was presented with the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2014. He is the founder and director of a non-profit organization, The Purple Hat Foundation, which is a conglomerate of volunteer musicians who perform benefit concerts to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer patients and related programs. He also recently founded Kids Rock for a Cause, a school of rock which presents benefit concerts for various causes. He has been volunteering with Musicians On Call since January of 2011 and has volunteer performed for Bread & Roses on the West Coast. Through these efforts, he lives his belief that music is a bridge to all of mankind and the universal language which can be harnessed to help create a better world.
