Regurgitator Tickets, Tour Dates and Concerts
About this concert
Aussie favourites Regurgitator are hitting Badlands Bar over two big nights in August (Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th).The Gurge never fail to bring the party with their huge back catalogue of anthems from the late 90's and noughties.Don't miss out...this will be huge.Tickets are $46.10 including Booking Fee and are available from Eventbrite or the Badlands Bar website (badlands.bar)Supports from Glitoris (ACT) + The Stress Of Leisure (QLD).\nWARNING: THIS IS AN ACTUAL STIMULATION!Upcoming tour may feature real life actors resembling living people. Please note assault & batteries are not included.Any resulting harm or damage is the responsibility of the abuser.Offenders of the universe beware. Time is now to care.Viewer insurrection assured.Welcome fellow bio-accumulants to the ever-widening waffle world. Go for a slip in the deep blue plastic, take a stroll through the open-cut, gulp an inhale of that water favoured gas, bask in that glorious all-over radioactive glow.As goes the target-orientated rhetoric of music propaganda we won’t be changing your world… rather just a self-energised in-the-moment musical respite from a life support gone critical. Nothing gonna change your world but you. And that world's just a stage… to another level. Break the boss. Get with the common cause, and gear up the oncoming narrative to choke that trickle down force feed.So in this our 24th perennial series of global LIFE SUPPORT comes the next epidose of artifecal simulation.Along for the trawl are Canberra’s GLITORIS and where possible Brisbane’s THE STRESS OF LEISURE.Proactivating some real material flow system with new tunes - DON’T STRESS and LIGHT ME ON FIRE.Available across the digital board in full reactive control… along with a double A 7 inch plastic version. Please use more than once and dispose of thoughtfully.\nThis is an 18+ event.

Regurgitator Biography

REGURGITATOR formed in Brisbane late stage '93 by Quan Yeomans and Ben Ely, along with drummer Martin Lee - the debut live show March 1994 for Friends of the Earth. Current drummer, Peter Kostic joined late ‘99. They have released numerous EPs and albums recorded in dubiously idiosyncratic scenarios: TU-PLANG (1996) in the jungle canopy outskirts of Bangkok; the pixel obsessed 80s jolt of UNIT (1997) in a condemned Fortitude Valley warehouse as demolishers waited outside; …ART (1999) in a sun soaked Byron Bay beachside house lapping up the waves; EDUARDO & RODRIGUEZ WAGE WAR ON T-WRECKS (2001) amidst the red bricks and cigar smoke of (Gang of Four) Andy Gill’s London lounge studio; MISHMASH(2004) in a glass panopticon installed in Melbourne's Federation Square as part of the disruptive Band in a Bubble pastiche of reality shows; LOVE & PARANOIA (2007) in a bullet riddled studio in Rio de Janeiro under the looming rock arms of Corcovado with a gang of dueling Brazilian sound engineers; SUPERHAPPYFUNTIMESFRIENDS (2011) in Ben's old Melbourne shopfront; and DIRTY POP FANTASY (2013) in a Hong Kong skyscraper apartment; along with the more recent meta-virus album #9 HEADROXX (2018) that was fabricated over the internet across cities and time. In the past near on 29 plus years they have toured all over Australia, NZ, Japan, UK, Europe, USA, Asia and the Middle East along with numerous festivals including the Big Day Out, Clokenflap, Reading, Fuji Rock, Groovin’ the Moo, The Falls, Meredith etc. Always drawn to the odd they collaborated with dance choreographer Gavin Webber on the live music/dance project ‘Rock Show’; worked with the Handspan Puppet theatre on Raised by Wolves for the Melbourne Fringe; performed a self-written live soundtrack to Japanese film AKIRA at the Sydney Opera House; reproduced the debut Velvet Underground album inconjunction with Chinese collaborator Mindy Meng Wang; the cinema release of the one off UNIT20 performance; and flippin' eggs with the riotous kid fun of the POGOGO SHOW… among other weird trips down that spiral of light fantastic. Still touring and flooring it recently performing the sold out 2023 UNITS tour of Australia… more than ever they find themselves extending the vitality of their live performances, continuing to infuse them with exuberance, mania and their mashedup motion of rock, punk, electro, funk, pop, hiphop... wherever the tune goes vibes. New album brewing in the can.
