THE RAYOS Biography
The Rayos bio
In the foothills of Northern California dwell The Rayos, bound by love and the soul's fulfillment to express. Professional singer/songwriters with 10 albums, they built a music studio on their property to record their special sound on vintage, refurbished analog equipment, now used by musicians from all over the world.
Saul Rayo is of Nicaraguan heritage, a blue-collar fisherman/builder from the Mission District of San Francisco; a self-taught roots, blues, finger-picking guitarist with a passion for writing political songs. Elena Rayo hails from the Midwest, a middle-class scholar, with a Cambridge master's degree, and a classically trained violinist from the age of five. Elena’s songs engage with heartfelt lyrics and entrancing melodies. Together, their music is both captivating and danceable.
The Rayos' virtuosity and variety allows them to perform as a dynamic duo or a rocking 5-piece band. Their music ranges from sultry, quiet tunes to rock-the-house dance music with a tribal beat, a Celtic bent or a Latin twist.
