2 acclaimed national touring songwriters perform for an incredible night of music. His complex finger style technique was born out of the country blues tradition through years of immersion in the work of players as diverse as John Fahey, Chet Atkins, and Merle Travis. ----------------- On tour from Brooklyn, io & Titan is the moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Schlatter. His debut EP "a dream of Two moons" is a soulful take on Art Pop --- a combination of melodic songcraft with a dense sound of rhythmic layering informed by music from all around the world. With shades of Paul Simon, Dirty Projectors, and Elliott Smith, the inventive arrangements of io & Titan push boundaries in many genres, without squarely falling into any of them.
