Martha L. Healy

Martha grew up listening to the sounds of The Eagles, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline - along with folk music from her native lands, Scotland and Ireland (she's half each). Her own sound harks back to a time when country music was honest and unabashed, and her vocals are both gutsy and feminine.
Her latest album, Keep The Flame Alight, was recorded in Nashville with a host of Music City's best players and was produced by David Spicher. Country Music People's Duncan Warwick wrote "its' like a classic Nanci Griffith album with songs by Gretchen Peters". Martha has played HebCelt, Celtic Connections, Red Rooster, AMA UK Showcase Festival 2019, C2C and Arisaig Americana.
