WOODEN CRATE

(Eng) The florentine duo Wooden Crate composed by Davide Rosafio (Florence) and Giuseppe Gonzalez (Bogotà) born in 2011 into the prolific musical underground scene of Florence. Since they was young both of them develop a great passion for music and a strong interest for the world of clubbing. After some years of experience in the most popular clubs of Florence (Tenax, tabasco, Club 999, Viper, Bahia, Frau etc.), they decide to join forces to work hard in studio, so they create and improve their musical line, which goes from the most deep Dub to an hot and sinuous Techno of Detroit passing from a rough and cold kind of Techno. Thanks to this accurate analysis and research, they characterize their sets with a large techno stamp, always improving their method and becoming one of the most popular djs in their city. Thanks to their diligence and thanks to their participation into all the most important tuscany parties, they get in touch with many promoters and artists, among which Alen Sforzina. Began a very great friendship with him, he helps Wooden Crate in music production. In 2013 they come out and produce their first Ep "Sublimate" on Arts, so they belong part of the this Label, as Mark Broom, Terrence Dixon,Jonas Kopp, Emmanuel and many other artists. Now they are waiting for the second out Ep on an important and techno label. In 2013 they perform with their first live at Tabasco (Florence) playing music with analogic and digital instruments. During 2012 they start to develop their personal project: "Cosmic" and they make lots of wonderful and followed parties giving importance to musical research, visual arts etc. All this elements give life to a big open air party, situated in a geen park named "Villa Montalvo", near Florence which every years achieves a resounding success. (over 6000 people in 2014). In 2015 they had a lot satisfactions that reinforce them presence on the dance floors. They are called to play in an underground party in Berlin, then around Italy, like Afro Bar in Catania, Green Village at Aiezzo, Guendalina at Santa Cesarea Terme and many other gigs in Tuscany. Furthermore they had the success confirm of Cosmic Open Air in Villa Montalvo with more than 10’000 people involved. Also enter part of another label, dirty session records of Luca bear. From here borns also them residency at Nextech Festival in Florence, one of the most important festival of Tuscany, that place in the historical venue of Fortezza da Basso. Dj exibitions with artists as: Jeff mills, len faki, sterac, truncate, Ilario alicante, Joseph capriati, Raresh, Felix krocher, San paganini, Adam Bayer, Alen Sforzina, Francesco Farfa, Shlomi Aber, San Propers, Tobias, Tama, Sumo and many others. (ITA) IL duo fiorentino Wooden Crate formato da Davide Rosafio (Firenze) e Giuseppe Gonzales (Bogota) nasce nel 2011 nella prolifica scena musicale underground fiorentina. Sin da piccoli entrambi sviluppano una forte passione per la musica ed un fortissimo interesse per il mondo del clubbing. I due dj dopo anni di esperienza nei locali più importanti di Firenze ( Tenax,Tabasco, Club 999, Viper, Bahia, Frau ecc ), si trovano e constatando la loro affinità musicale iniziano a lavorare assiduamente in un piccolo studio dove col tempo creano quella che è la loro linea musicale attuale, che spazia dalla Dub più scura e profonda alla techno detroitiana più calda e sinuosa passando per una techno più industrial con sonorità raw e fredde. Questa attenta analisi e questa continua ricerca lì porta anche a caratterizzare i loro set dando anche in questa fase un impronta ampiamente techno, unità ad una continua crescita tecnica, e riuscendo così a diventare tra i maggiori esponenti nella loro città. Grazie a loro impegno e alla loro presenza in tutti i party più importanti della Toscana i due entrano in contatto con molti organizzatori ed artisti, tra cui Alen Sforzina con il quale instaurano una grande amicizia e un grande rapporto. Insieme ad Alen iniziano un’esperienza formativa nel campo delle produzioni e la cura del suono, consacrando e portando ad un livello successivo il loro approccio da producers. Nel 2013 si fanno notare da Emmanuel ed escono con il loro primo ep Sublimate su ARTS entrando a far parte della Label, affiancati da artisti del calibro di Mark Broom, Terrence Dixon, Jonas Kopp,Emmanuel stesso e tanti altri. Nel 2013 si esibiscono anche con il loro primo live al Tabasco (Fi) dove hanno messo in evidenza la loro ecletticità sia con strumenti analogici che digitali. Tornando indietro, nel 2012 danno vita al loro progetto personale chiamato Cosmic col quale iniziano a fare party sempre più seguiti e coinvolgenti che spaziano da ricerca musicale e arti visive,creando un movimento che li porta alla decisione di far nascere un open air in un aria verde nel comune di Cambi Bisenzio nel parco di Villa Montalvo dove ogni anno c'è una crescita esponenziale di spettatori,fino a 6000 persone nell'edizione del 2014. Il 2015 è un anno di molte soddisfazioni che consolidano la loro presenza nelle dancefloor. Vengono chiamati a suonare in principio a un party underground a Berlino, dopodiché a giro per l’Italia, come all’Afro Bar di Catania, al Green Village at Aiezzo, Guendalina a Santa Cesarea Terme e molte altre date ancora in Toscana. Inoltre hanno la conferma del successo del Cosmic Open Air di Villa Montalvo con oltre 10’000 partecipanti. Entrano anche a far parte di un altra importante label, la dirty session records di luca bear. Da qui inizia anche la loro partecipazione come resident al Nextech Festival di Firenze, tra i più affermati festival in Italia, che si svolge presso la storica Fortezza da Basso (Fi). Questo li ha portati nel corso degli anni ad esibirsi a fianco di artisti del calibro di Jeff mills, len faki, sterac, truncate, Ilario alicante, Raresh, Felix krocher, San paganini, Adam Bayer, Alen Sforzina, Francesco Farfa, Shlomi Aber, San Propers, Tobias, Tama, Sumo e molti altri...
