About this concert
“They are one of those bands where you are like ‘yeah man, they are gonna be in stadiums’”– Jeff Liberty, CBC Radio HostWaterfront Fire’s sound is a distinct blend of modern rock, introspective lyrics, soaring vocals, and progressive arrangements with thematic tendencies similar to that of Pink Floyd, Rush, or Led Zeppelin. The band’s captivating live performances hypnotize you with entrancing melodies and unmatched energy. They have been compared to bands such as The Tragically Hip, Hey Rosetta! and even modern pop rockers Paramore. Rob Wells of Sony Publishing once compared the band to the Swedish jazz-fusion pop group Dirty Loops. These comparisons are as diverse as the band’s influences which span many genres. The result is a unique and eclectic sound that is distinctively Waterfront Fire. With Waterfront Trio, Andrew, Jordan, and Ben strip down their set up and explore the softer side of their original music as well as some covers from their favourite bands.Album Streaming Links:http://smarturl.it/waterfrontfireLinks:Electronic Press Kit: http://www.waterfrontfire.com/epkWebsite http://www.waterfrontfire.comFacebook https://www.facebook.com/waterfrontfirebandTwitter https://twitter.com/waterfrontfireInstagram https://www.instagram.com/waterfrontfire/Youtube https://www.youtube.com/waterfrontfireTour Dates:April 27 - The Oasis, Gander, NL April 28 - Rotary Arts Centre, Corner Brook, NLApril 29 - Governor’s Pub, Sydney, NSMay 1 - The Gahan House, Saint John, NBMay 2 - The Gahan House, Charlottetown, PEIMay 3 - Plan B, Moncton, NB May 5 - The Carleton (ECMAs), Halifax, NSMay 5 - The Anchor, Halifax, NS

“They are one of those bands where you are like ‘yeah man, they are gonna be in stadiums’”
– Jeff Liberty, CBC Radio Host

Waterfront Fire’s sound is a distinct blend of modern rock, introspective lyrics, soaring vocals, and progressive arrangements with thematic tendencies similar to that of Pink Floyd, Rush, or Led Zeppelin.

In the past two years they have shared the stage with bands like Said The Whale, Alvvays and Blue Rodeo; toured Eastern Canada; received an East Coast Music Award nomination for Rising Star of the Year (2017); received MusicNL Awards for Alternative Recording of the Year (2015 - First Light) and Rising Star of the Year (2016); and were nominated for Group of the Year (twice), Entertainer of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
