Jared Hard Music Biography
Jared was born in Cincinnati, OH; the third of four children. Music was a way of life for the Hard family and many of his childhood memories are of his family singing together, whether in the car, at church, or around the piano in the living room. During his early years, Jared’s family moved around the Midwest before settling in Northeastern Oklahoma when he was about 11. Even though Jared began experimenting with songwriting at the early age of 8, it was here that he learned the guitar and began honing his craft. By the time he was a sophomore in high school he had written over 200 songs. He would call Oklahoma home for the next several years. It was also in Tulsa that Jared met a man that would become the backbone and champion of his writing pursuits, long time writing partner, Jason Hargrove.
Jared moved to Nashville several years ago in order to connect with the community of songwriters and continue to pursue his music career. Since moving to Nashville, Jared has formed friendships with many amazing and talented writers, singers, and producers. One of these writers/producers, Jeff Anderson, would eventually end up producing Jared’s first solo project, the EP “10,000 Hydrogen Bombs”.
Jared has played numerous venues across the Midwest and Southeast such as Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival and many Nashville song-writer hotspots including multiple performances at the world famous Bluebird Café.
Jared currently resides in the greater Nashville, TN area.
