Derrick Hudson

Derrick Hudson is a vocalist and solo guitarist with fans worldwide. His talent has taken him to the far reaches of the globe, traveling from coast to coast in the United States and to sixty countries on six continents. He has performed in dramatic locations including Monte Carlo, Auckland, Venice, Istanbul, Singapore, and Rio de Janeiro.
Early in his career, as the lead guitarist and singer in Touched, a top 40, high-energy dance band, Derrick honed his skills as a performer. Since 2009, as a resident solo guitarist, pianist, and vocalist for Princess Cruise Lines and P&O Australia, Derrick shared his talents with international audiences on the inaugural voyages of three of P&O’s iconic cruise liners, the Pacific Jewel, the Eden, and the Pearl.
As a much sought after performer for Holland America, Derrick spent over three years with Seabourn Cruise Lines, consistently ranked by Conde Nast as the #1 small cruise ship in the world. Highlighting this remarkable journey was his time as a resident musician at Reithi Rah Resort in the Maldives.
Influenced by artists as diverse as Nat King Cole, the Jackson Five, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny and James Taylor, Derrick’s love of standards from the American Songbook, to Classic Rock, Folk, Country and Jazz instrumentals is distinguished only by the unique arrangements he applies to each genre of music.
