Chris Daughtry Biography
Chris Daughtry is the 4th placing contestant on the fifth season of the #1 TV show "American Idol". After advancing onto the next round at his Denver audition of Joe Cocker's "The Letter", Chris continued to impress the judges in Hollywood with performances such as "The First Cut is the Deepest" and the group song "Emotions". Daughtry was announced as one of the twelve male semifinalists and is considered to be one of the early frontrunners to win the competition.
More recently, Chris Daughtry has won a place in American Idols Top 12. New performances are Higher Ground, a Red Hot Chilli Peppers track, and I Walk the Line by Johnny Cash, rumoured to be inspired by LIVE's version of the song.
The following week, Chris belted out the Elvis songs, meeting with a shocking departure the following Wednesday.
During the Finale, Chris performed with Favorite Band Live; they performed "Mystery."
Chris is from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, his self-titled debut album went platinum in a few weeks.
