TheDopestMatrix strives to create a positive, melodic- pop sound for hip hop lovers of the new generation, and has a strong influence towards hard- working individuals who want to achieve something greater than average.
He has sold out his own shows locally in the Portland area, on top of opening for many local and touring acts as well. In the past year he has successfully released 3 full legth projects including It's Always Sunny in Portlandea and Young Takeover, both for free streaming on Soundcloud.
A huge influencer TheDopestMatrix takes after is Wiz Khalifa. As a high school student, he can remember Wiz's music enlighting him to do bigger and better things with himself, really pushing him to further pursue his love for music. On top of that, TheDopestMatrix has referenced Curren$y as another figure he looks up to for his non stop hustle and go- getter mentality.
TheDopestMatrix loves connecting with his fans on a personal level and has a genuine passion to reach out to young souls and inspire them to do big things with themselves. This started the "Young Takeover" Movement that included a release of a single and album with a respective title.
TheDopestMatrix started attracting attention around the Pacific Northwest in 2014 when he dropped the single called "Animal," making college kids in the area go nuts over the new, fun-loving sound it provided. After creating this single, TDM layed low for a while until his newborn fans consistently made it obvious they want him around, and that is what ultimately motivated him to take his career into a full- force music operation consistently giving fans lots of new music and content.
