the GooDBarS Biography

Born from the remnants of Minneapolis punk band the Squabs, the Goodbars formed in October 2007 and quickly established themselves as a hard-driving quintet, bringing their trademark "Punk-n-Roll" to multiple venues on the Twin Cities music scene. Released in 2012, the Goodbars self-titled disc garnered the group regional radio airplay with the songs "Camarojuana" and "I'm Alive," expanding the band's fanbase and gigs, opening for such acts as Buck Cherry, the Bullet Boys, Texas Hippie Coalition and Loudness. 2016 saw the sophomore release of "More than Nothing." Eight tracks that took on a darker tone with the cuts "7am", "Feed the Pig" and "Soul Sucker," securing them a slot at the festival Rockfest, supporting Ratt, Great White and Faster Pussycat. A series of singles are in the works for the group moving into 2018, starting with "Way Down" highlighting the lads' brand of infectious no-holds-barred rock. The Goodbars are: Preston Palmer - Lead Vocals Michael Rumore - Guitar/Backing Vocals John Funk - Guitar/Backing Vocals Todd Jameson - Bass/Backing Vocals Bart Klassen - Drums
