About this concert
Lucia’ music comes from a place where dreams are created. Her songwriting is an homage to our connection with the elements, water, earth, fire. And her voice is both soulful and ethereal, she calls her genre "dream folk”. Lucia will be sharing new songs, that are calls and prayers to the natural forces to guide and protect us."Lucía Lilikoi is able to generate with her music consciousness levels worthy of a true pagan priestess. Her third album carries the evocative title ‘Vessel’, a small master piece of intimist pop which proposes a journey through water as a means of purification and personal growth.” ~Territorios Sevilla"The Spanish-born multi-instrumentalist lends her breathy vocals to daring songs. In her startlingly beautiful lyrics she is not confined by the strict limits of rhyme. She has created a record that challenges listeners to open themselves up to sounds that are dreamy and different, to go on the voyage with her. It’s a trip worth taking." ~Marin IJ.About the Sound Bath:Lucia's Sound baths are spontaneous, improvised prayers to the universe and mantras that invoke the sacred in common places. Lucia uses an array of instruments and sound making devices that she has collected throughout her journey as a musician and she also uses a looping pedal, harmonizing her voice and instruments into ethereal and primal soundscapes. The sound bath is a tool to travel inwards, to listen to one’s breath, feel the subtle body, and surrender. When we enter altered states through sound, the brain generates alpha and theta brainwaves that allows for a state of meditation, deep reflection, and daydreaming. When we support the nervous system to relax, the body is able to recalibrate and heal itself. Come and receive, relax, and replenish!!"The [sound bath] experience was absolutely unique. Restful, restorative, energizing and something other-worldly. Lucia has a voice that is earthy and angelic at the same time.” - Kevin C."The vibrations of her voice on the loop machine helped me enter an extremely meditative state and was so much more personal than the sound baths I had experienced previously." - Martine M.Pre-Sale: $30 // At the Door: $35

Lucia Lilikoi Music Biography

On November 11th, 2021 Lucia Lilikoi released her fourth full-length album, “LUZ.” Across ten songs, Lucia reveals her interpretation of the element of light, offering a soothing balm after a tumultuous year, through the theme of belonging and alliance with nature. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Lilikoi, in her debut as producer/engineer. The album includes contributions from Garth Stevenson on double bass and Joey Maramba on electric bass, Manose and Bodhi on flute, Helen Newby on cello, Ben Leinbach on percussion, and others. Her first two singles, “Angel of Mine” and “Land Where I Belong” are already garnering rave reviews

Lucía is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound-healer born in Sevilla, Spain, living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her unmistakable voice and lush arrangements are matched by elegant recordings in a genre she calls 'dream folk.’ Over the years her music has led to studio and live collaborations with Grammy-winning producer Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley), Julie Wolf (Ani Difranco, Sia), Grammy-nominated Jai Uttal, sacred music troubadour Murray Kyle, Jonathan Richman (The Modern Lovers), Joey Maramba (Rickie Lee Jones, John Cale), Lorca Hart (Meklit, Freddie Hubbard), Chris Haugen (Phil Lesh), and Sudhananda, amongst others.

Lilikoi’s songs have been featured alongside Jai Uttal, Rising Appalachia, Tina Malia, Deva Premal and Simrit. Her original music has been featured on tv shows (‘The L Word,’), and she’s scored music for documentary films (‘Sold in America,’ 2009, and ‘The Future of Energy,’ 2013, featuring luminary Buddhist ecologist, Joanna Macy). Lucia has performed her original music at prestigious venues all over the world, including The House of Blues Hollywood, The Alcázar of Sevilla, Natural High Healing Festival in Finland, Esalen in Big Sur, and Gibson Guitar Studios in London, to name a few. She started her musical training learning classical piano at the Madrid Conservatory, she’s a Berklee College of Music alum, studied Sound Healing at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and vocal improvisation under the wings of mentor Rhiannon (Bobby McFerrin.)

A contrast to the Neptunian Vessel (2016), LUZ embodies the elements of earth and fire. In Lucia’s words: “These songs are invocations; love poems to the earth and to the elements to call us home. They are songs of refuge, so we can remember our essence.”
