Winner of 'Best Guitarist' at the Bluesfest Busking Comp 2017 and hailed as “The next big thing!” by TV and radio personality Yumi Stynes, Ella Belfanti is a solo artist notable for her percussive guitar playing and voice that ranges from ethereal highs to gutsy blues sounds. Her music takes the audience on a journey from ballads, to light-hearted jigs, to funky renditions of classic rock numbers. While Ella's debut EP sits on the more folky-ballad side of her music, Ella's sound dips into groovy atmospheric blues, largely instrumental percussive guitar pieces, and fast-paced heralds to the confusing human condition. What her songs all have in common is a heartfelt and genuine quality, with to-the-point lyrics that can only be described as raw. Her covers of John Butler’s Ocean, The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army, Pearl Jam’s Alive and Amy Winehouse’s Valerie have won her standing ovations. And her original songs - she has over 20 under her belt - have landed her on festival lineups and seen her gigging in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, The East Coast, and The Gold Coast.
