V!SUAL has a unique approach along with an intense work ethic that has given him an artistic angle not common in the industry. Known for his signature Blue Collar work ethic, his career encompasses his own public relations, promotion, bookings and own music release. He started his rap career in the local battle scene, winning several notable battles. In 2002, he started his own Indie label; Community Service Records. His sound is universal but rooted in the essence of Hip Hop and of the people and the streets of Chicago. His conscience message overshadows the violence and negative stereotypes Chicago has recently been recognized for. The Latino artist was born in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, moved to Mexico City soon after and came back to Logan Square a few years later where he spent most of his youth. Growing up a Latino kid in Chicago, provided V!SUAL the inspiration and experience to begin writing poems, which evolved into the songs we hear today. Organizing an annual food/toy drive in collaboration with the Chicago Food Depository & Toys for Tots and his involvement in the annual back to school jam organized by non profit, The Chi Rock Nation has laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. V!SUAL's relentless pursuit for success has landed him positive media attention across a wide variety of outlets including Fuse TV, Urb Magazine, Hiphopgame.com, Hip-hop-kings.com, Fakeshoredrive.com, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the Red Eye. Covering the span of all media, his local notoriety has propelled him out of Chicago’s scene to become internationally known. In 2011, he created ChicgaoHipHophistory.com where he highlights moments in the scenes past and offers a platform for new artist making a name.In 2012, V!SUAL founded #HelloHipHop, a monthly musical showcase for local artists new and established to be heard in a live interactive environment. #HelloHipHop has since then developed into a one stop home for artist, producers and small businesses to blossom by offering services such as public relations, management, event planning, creative direction and much more.
