Timothy Andrew Lockett Biography

Timothy Andrew Lockett is an up and coming American singer and songwriter. Tim started singing at a very young age but only in secret due to his extreme shyness as a child.
It wasn’t until his late teens that Tim first sang publicly when he performed Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel at a family reunion in which he received a standing ovation. After this successful performance, Tim began to gain more confidence as a performer, performing at small events in his hometown of Indianapolis, mostly family events.

Tim wrote his first song when his sister asked if he would sing at her wedding. He wrote a song titled I’ll Love You Forever and performed the song at her wedding. Tim also co-wrote and recorded his second song titled Find You with his brother, music composer Mike Lockett, which reached the top 10 on several on-line music sites.

Soon after, Tim moved to Columbus OH where he soon met up with local musician and music producer Brady Pettit. They hit it off pretty well musically and began working on some music together and from that Tim recorded his first EP titled In This World, a collection of inspirational songs that evolved from several personal issues that Tim was dealing with at the time.

Tim put a small band together and began promoting and performing songs from his EP around Columbus. Because of the positive reception that Tim was receiving, he wanted to expand to surrounding cities to further promote his EP but his band wasn’t able to make the travel commitment and ended up breaking up soon after.

It has been more than 5 years since Tim’s last EP and it looks like 2018 will be the year that Tim returns to music and in a much bigger way then before.
