About this concert
Dubuque group, A Few Blind Mice will play all original songs at the library’s Music @ your library® concert on Friday, March 1. They will play from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium, and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Music @ your library® is a First Fridays program occurring every other month that showcases original local music acts.
A Few Blind Mice is a five-piece group of young talent making a name for themselves in Dubuque with their constant gigs and recent collaboration with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. They play an exciting high-energy mix of classic rock and folk music while displaying influences from many other genres. One song can seamlessly blend over-driven guitar licks one moment and an emotional cello phrase the next. All songs come together with a steady backbeat and Emily Mae Webb’s powerful vocal prowess. Songwriting team Webb, and Ty Bailey, write reflective and sometimes tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
The show is for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults 21 years of age and older are welcome to bring their own wine or beer. Light refreshments will be provided. No registration is required for this free event. For more information, please call the Carnegie-Stout Public Library at 563-589-4225, or visit the Library’s website at www.dubuque.lib.ia.us
