"Outlaws of Folk Music Series" is an ongoing Folk music series started by Michael Ubaldini as an answer and an alternative to the 'clique oriented showcase nights' frequently found in Los Angeles. He handpicks kindred music spirts among the many talented musicians in LA, LB, & the OC - including established recording and touring artists peppered in with local singer-songwriters and performers who, along with Michael, each perform a thirty minute set, and, sometimes a final 'Sing Out' jam at the end of the night. Bringing back the spirit and attitude of the NY Greenwich Village folk-boom of the early 60's with modern 21st century artists relevant to this era as well as "Old traditional’ Folk...," The "Outlaws of Folk Music Series" was named by CBS Los Angeles as the ‘Top Folk Music Show in OC.’ Never a cover, catch a show every first Saturday at Portfolio's Coffee House in Long Beach and every first Thursday at Bogart's Coffee House in Seal Beach.
