Lifetime Shitlist Biography

Lifetime Shitlist, everybody has one and everyone’s on one. Fact of life. Formed in beautiful, aromatic downtown Baltimore 2012 and steeped in the traditions of Hellhammer, Poison Idea, and the mighty Motorhead, Lifetime Shitlist’s rallying cry from the start has been ‘keep it simple and keep it dirty’. Lyrical themes include ancient theologies, political transgressions, and Raelianism all filtered through a drug fueled, Crowley-like perspicacity. Lifetime Shitlist’s debut EP released in 2014 on Grimoire Records has been described as thus; “Baltimore’s Lifetime Shitlist doesn’t even stick around for 20 minutes on their debut S/T, album, which is practically an audio handbook on how to slap the living wax out of a pair of eardrums. Guitarist Matt Crocco also swung his axe in ugly, underrated brawlers Ironboss, so you should expect a similar scum-rock sound. Motörhead influence abounds, Slayer is a kindred spirit, sped-up, sludgy Crowbar/16 grooves run into a mean ass mountain of Wolverine Blues, while the beer stank of a good basement crust show featuring Discharge and His Hero is Gone as co-headliners permeates the rowdy atmosphere. This quartet does it all and keeps it dirtywithout overstaying their welcome.” – Jay Snyder, Hellride Music. “Infusing a punk attitude into a metal aesthetic, they come across like a much heavier version of Motörhead. Plenty of feedback and distortion, a rumbly bass with a sweet dirty tone and the occasional hint of d-beat and grind influences.” Valley Of Steel “They’ve always been able to provide the type of heavy hitting D-beat and punk sound that I like quite a bit. It’s cool to see these guys not only still at it but have clearly continued to grow as songwriters and get better.”–Chris Dahlberg, Cosmos Gaming Playing shows with such luminaries as Obituary, Noisem, Wormrot, Wehrmacht, Conflict, and GBH, has perpetuated their growth as a band. While their first EP captured the dank, dark mold covered environment in which it was created, their soon to be released second disc, Pneumaticon, shows an evolution in style that will only continue to fester. More heaviness, more speed, and more filth.
