Clans

Clans was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, quickly leaving home after his high school graduation to pursue his dreams. He began recording in Boston on an acoustic guitar and ukulele before ultimately deciding to ditch the east coast and head west.

A gutted van soon found its way into Clans’ life which he then turned into a mobile studio. Before any doubts about his music career could fully take over, Clans was soon offered a place to live and record in Los Angeles.

Since then, Clans has independently gone Spotify viral in 8 countries and has accumulated over 3-million streams on Spotify. He’s been featured on Spotify official playlists such as Fresh Finds, Global Viral 50 and Underground Hits.

Earlier this year, Clans caught the interest of A&R representatives from Ninja Tune, an independent London-based record label, and signed a deal with its publishing company Just Isn’t Music (JIM). Clans stays hungry on JIM’s roster alongside artists such as ODESZA, Diplo and Flying Lotus.
