Anna Maria Jopek 

One of the most charismatic and original voices in Poland. She’s a passionate visionary, a composer, songwriter and improviser. Born into an artistic family – Anna Maria’s parents performed in the Polish legendary folk group “Mazowsze”. She is a classically trained pianist who graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. She has brought to life dozens of artistic projects, merging contrasting musical personalities, cultures and styles. Over her notable career she has sold one million records and has won every prominent Polish music award possible.

Jopek recorded and performed the whole globe with outstanding local and international artists including Pat Metheny, Bobby McFerrin, Ivan Linz, Branford Marsalis, Nigel Kennedy, Richard Bona, Oscar Castro-Neves, Makoto Ozone and Sting. From Toronto to London, from Berlin to Tokyo, she performed in venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Blue Note Tokyo, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv. She recorded in Peter Gabriel’s Real World, London’s Abbey Road and New York’s Power Station.
