With roots in Washington D.C. and an early appreciation for a wide range of genres and styles, Kilgo entered electronic music in 2010 with the purchase of his first MIDI board. After a summer full of acquiring inspiration in Europe’s rave halls and bass dens, he decided to penetrate the Deep South – Charleston, SC. Many in this southern staple had never heard or felt the good vibrations, but this quickly changed as Kilgo infiltrated the scene, getting booked at every major venue and collaborating with some of the best in the business to form the StrawBerry Squad. A desire to further build and innovate led to live improv shows with Seth G on violin, Clark on-the Sax, Mimmy J on Drums, and the creation of custom, one-of-a-kind parties such as Strawberry Squad Takeovers. Now with Kilgo's relocation to the Live Music capital of the world (Austin, TX), his eyes are set on making some big moves in 2018
His ability to cross genres from Future Bass to Trap and Dubstep intersects with an intense passion for sonic and visual creativity. An in-depth knowledge spanning sound design, projection mapping, and creative events forms an all-encompassing production where no detail is overlooked.
Kilgo’s past gigs span the globe from DC, Boston, NYC, ATL, CLT, New Orleans, Chicago, Mont Tremblant (Quebec, Canada), Croatia, and Interlaken (Switzerland). Opening support has been provided for Shaun Frank, Riff Raff, Mimosa, Griz, Party Thieves, Bailo, Minnesota, Wuki, Styles & Complete, Russ Liquid, Candyland, TWRK, Haywyre, Psymbionic, The Geek x VRV, 12th Planet, GerryGonza, Walker & Royce, LUMBERJVCK, K Theory, Kevin Flum, Recess, The Polish Ambassador, Phutueprimitive, Archnemesis, and Time Flies
