An energetic Indie-Rock 4-piece from South Wales, Fire Fences are proving to be one of Wales' most promising and exciting young bands. Since entering the music world back in 2013, Fire Fences have been making waves, with a brilliant show in July 2017 a highlight at Gwdihw.\nIn the brief time that the band have been together they have released two EP's, 'Roses From Dust' (2014), 'Pocket Full of Stones' (2015) and In Your Love (2016), all drawing from their many influences and blurring the line between alt-rock and acoustic sounds. JUXTAPOSED Biography
The beautiful unison of differing voices They are JuxtaposeD! Influenced by the Seattle alternative rock & grunge scene of the 1990’s, two siblings, lead guitarist Hisham and bassist Khuzairie got together with a few college mates to form a grunge band in August 1998 under the early moniker, Carbon-12. They went out and about to perform in small student gigs, covering popular grunge tunes of the time, as well as playing some of their own songs. However, the band disbanded when Hisham went on a hiatus for a year Hisham then went on to pursue his studies in Music Production & Sound Engineering. It was in the course of his studies that Hisham, with Khuzairie riding shotgun, recorded his first video single, King of Kings, in 2003. King of Kings was given a nod for best music video in an intervarsity film festival award. Immediately after his graduation, they seriously began preparing for the release of their EP in September 2004. Still without a convincing lineup, Hisham and Khuzairie brought in their younger brother, Azeem, architecture major, to fill in the slot at the front mike. Azeem laid-back demeanor is a stark contrast to his powerful presence on stage, as fans would attest. It was Azeem who came up with the moniker JuxtaposeD, which meant “placed side by side”, as a new calling card for the band. The name stuck Twin brothers, the youngest in the family, rhythm guitarist Nazrin and drummer Nazmin, finally completed the band’s lineup in February 2007. A year later, JuxtaposeD marked their spectacular debut on stage by finishing third place at the Road to ROTTW Soundstage 2008, a battle-of-the-bands competition organized by ROTTW, an influential monthly rock music publication in Malaysia... They launched their very first EP entitled "Mad Jester" in August 2008, which consists of 5 English tracks and are now busy promoting their latest single, "Kanun Gila" and it marked their first appearance in Muzik Muzik 26, TV3 as a new entry for "Kanun Gila" and also they are on the verge of releasing their first full length Malay album scheduled March 2012. The beautiful unison of differing voices We are JuxtaposeD!
