HeadCat Biography

In 1999 Slim Jim Phantom & Danny B. Harvey went into the studio to record a tribute to Elvis Presley as THE SWING CATS. They brought along with them, their long time friends JOHNNY RAMONE and LEMMY KILMISTER. After recording GOOD ROCKIN' TONIGHT, with both Johnny and Lemmy, and VIVA LAS VEGAS, with Johnny and Danny tackling it as an instrumental, LEMMY, SLIM JIM and DANNY B.. recorded two additional Elvis songs as a trio. All three of them were so happy with the recordings they decided to record an entire CD of Buddy Holly / Jimmy Reed and Carl Perkins songs which was released on Cleopatra Records and called FOOL'S PARADISE. They came up with the HEADCAT because of their other bands, Motorhead, The Stray Cats and The Rockats. After doing sporadic shows over the next 10 years and being featured in the documentary LEMMY, the band decided to record a second CD for NIJI ENTERTAINMENT (Ronnie Dio's label) called WALK THE WALK . . . TALK THE TALK. Although HEADCAT shows are rare because of Motorhead's constant touring they have managed to play in the extensively in the USA, as well as MEXICO, ENGLAND and GERMANY. Look for more HEADCAT performances and recordings in the near future! LEMMY KILMISTER (Motörhead), DANNY B. HARVEY (Rockats, 69 Cats), SLIM JIM PHANTOM (Stray Cats) & guest vocalist/bassist David Vincent (Morbid Angel) 2017.
