Brandon Henson Biography

Born and raised in the small town of Decatur, Alabama, Brandon Henson, early in life never visioned himself as a touring country artist. Growing up as any country boy would, Brandon enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses, playing sports, and racing motocross. Through his high school years, Brandon engaged in Football, as his favorite sport where he played Tight End/Wide Reciever, as well as being apart of the Mount Hope High School FFA team. Upon graduation from high school in 2007, Brandon had no idea what his life and future would hold, as well as not knowing which way to turn for the next chapter. Starting at Calhoun Community College the following fall, Brandon studied the Basic Subjects of Business, before becoming a father to his son, Cayden Lane, in 2009. With the duties of juggling being a father, work-life and school, Brandon decided to post-pone his education and enter the industrial workforce full time. Shortly after the decision was made, Brandon welcomed his second child into the world, his daughter, Barkley Rae, whom was born in 2011. As life went about it's ways, Brandon was happy, full of joy and excitement, and loved being a father to his children, but something was still missing. After punching the clock from a long shift at work, Brandon was on his way home, and a song played on the radio, that he himself had never heard, "Tattoos on This Town" by Jason Aldean, whom Brandon was a huge fan of. To him, that song meant that no matter what you do in life or where you go, always try and leave a positive mark and a positive image. After hearing the song, Brandon got his hands on his first guitar the very next day, an Ebony Ibanez. He then learned that song, with it becoming the first song he knew how to play on a guitar. Within the weeks to come, Brandon had learned various songs from artists suchs as, Jason Aldean, George Straight, Jake Owen, and Jamey Johnson. Realizing that music is what his life had been missing, Brandon decided to follow his Father and Grand Father's footsteps and pursue a career in music. He then put his first band together in 2012, with a group of buddies from home, "The Whiskey Bent Band' who performed locally and gave Brandon his "Musical Roots", as they had the opportunity to open up for the country rock band Parmalee, as well as other major acts. As years went by, with many up's and down's with life itself and chasing a career in the music business to fullfill his dream, Brandon had almost given up on chasing that dream, until the day his mother introduced him to long time friend, and CEO of Better Music Records (BMItn), Bobby Spivey, of Nashville, TN, whom was interested enough in Brandon to invite him to Nashville to check out his talents. On July 29th, 2015, Brandon made the two hour trip from Dectaur, to Nashville, and met with Mr. Spivey and Business Partner, James Sine, at the Whiskey Rythym saloon where the three had lunch and talked about music. Brandon then performed several covers, and a couple of original songs he had written, and Mr. Spivey at that very moment, scheduled Brandon for his first show in Nashville, at Belcourt Taps, where many songwriters and musicians, such as Grammy Award Winner, Sam Tate, and Singer Songwriter, Stephan Cochran, gathered to witness Brandon for the first time. As the night went on, Brandon performed and it was a huge success. The next day, after waking up at Mr. Spivey's home, he then informed Brandon that he would offer him a recording deal with Better Music Records. In a slight act of disbelief, Brandon was Speechless, and didnt know what to do, except to call his family and friends back home to let them know the great news. With the weeks following, Brandon made several trips back and forth to Nashville, setting a plan for his career, and his first album, "One Night Left". As of September, 2015, Brandon had chased a dream and so far accomplished it, as he was in studio recording, and playing shows weekly. And if you ask Brandon himself, his only true dream, is to, "positively make an influence on atleast one person at each of his shows", and to "give his fans an experience they will never forget". You can hear Brandon on country radio as well as Itunes, and other digital media sources. And as well find him on all sources of Social Media, and of course, at his live performances Nation Wide. " I woud like to personally thank everyone who has made this dream come true for me. First and foremost, I have to thank my one and only Savior and Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ for blessing me with this dream. But to all of my fans, friends, family, and everyone involved on my team with Better Music Records, Thank You guys so much. I love you all!" - Brandon Country music, with a touch of Rock, and a bit of 90's.
