Jerry's Kids Biography
One of the earliest Boston area hardcore bands, Braintree, Massachusetts' Jerry's Kids had their first recorded output on the Modern Method This Is Boston, Not L.A. compilation LP in 1982, on which they contributed 7 tracks.
Frontman Bryan Jones and rhythm guitar player Dave Aronson later left the band, bass-player Rick Jones (Bryan's brother) switched to vocals and Chris Doherty of Gang Green took over on rhythm guitar. It was this line-up that recorded the classic 12 song LP Is This My World? on X-Claim in 1983, featuring songs like 'Cracks In The Wall', 'Tear It Up' and 'Vietnam Syndrome'. They however broke up in '85 with no further recorded output, only to reform in '87 with a more speed metal sound, and released an LP on Taang entitled Kill Kill Kill. Unlike other hardcore bands like SS Decontrol and D.Y.S. who went through a metal phase Jerry's Kids continued playing all-ages shows. The band reunited again in 2004 and has been playing several shows per year around Boston since then, though their current recording plans are unknown.
