Seph Custer

Seph Custer was raised and lives in the woods of Callaway, VA, and starting playing music on an acoustic guitar at age 11. He has used the time to hone his craft and has developed a large unique sound utilizing open tunings, alternate tunings, and heavy EQ that fills in the areas where more musicians are usually needed.
As well as solo shows, Seph also plays with Chris T.K. Wimmer as the acoustic duo "Seph and TK," and performs rock/blues/original music as The Papa Tom Band, which features Seph on electric guitar, TK on a drumset, and Alex Young on bass.
Since picking up guitar, he taught himself how to play slide guitar, mandolin, banjo, piano, fiddle, and how to sing. He's performed all of these instruments onstage with Surefire Plan, Crawdawg and Company, Jacob Crawford, David Cannaday, The Harwell Grice Band, Shogi, Happie Daze, Forever Now, Filmont Station, and many, many, more
His first solo effort 'Where You Are' (recorded, mixed, and mastered at Windfall Studios by Dave Fason December 2015) and features Laurel Brooke playing violin on 3 songs. 'Where You Are' was released January 19th, 2016. It has been featured on 101.5 The Valley's Music Place, and on various blogs online.
