About this concert
The Yiannis Karygiannis Trio includes Yiannis Karygiannis [GR] on piano, Alessio Bruno [IT] on double bass, and Richie Struck [DE] on drums. All accomplished musicians, based in Rotterdam and actively playing throughout Europe, they bring their passion for diverse and challenging repertoires and genres to the trio. They instill a depth and sensitivity into the dramatic melodies and interlocking rhythms of Karygiannis’ technically demanding compositions. Karygiannis, Bruno and Struck distil their distinct experiences, styles, and musicianship into a concentrated, almost cinematic experience that incorporates echos of different countries, cultures, and times from the North Sea to the Aegean. Together on “Retrospection”, the three create a transportive and almost tactile experience; a unified feeling that’s instantly recognizable as skillfully and impressively human. Tickets : 10€
