Jessy Karr Band

Jessy grew up singing in numerous blue grass festivals, talent contests, honor choirs, and music groups all across Nebraska. She's been a member of the Nebraska Country Music Foundation since 1995 and was named the Nebraska Country Music Foundation's Entertainer of the year in both 2004 & 2005! She was a state finalist for the Colgate Country Showdown in 2008 & 2009! Jessy was also a state finalist for the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search held at the Nebraska State Fair in 2008 where she cleaned house and broke records by winning an astounding 6 awards, including the highest honor of Mega Star! No one has ever achieved that many awards in the history of the Galaxy of Stars Talent Search and Jessy still holds that record! Jessy says "I sing from my heart and put my everything into every song in hopes that the audience will feel what I'm feeling." She grew up singing country music but can rock with the best of them. Jessy says "I like a wide variety of music but I would describe my style as contemporary country or southern rock." In 2000 she joined a country band called Swing Shift. In 2001 she helped form the classic rock band called Risky Business. Risky Business toured Nebraska until 2009 when the band split up. In 2013 Jessy joined Slingshot. Front that success she went on to form the Jessy Karr Band and has been touring the Midwest ever since! Jessy has also auditioned for national talent searches such as: The Voice, American Idol, and The X Factor. Comments from Galaxy of Stars Talent Search Judges: "You really made the song your own!
