Danny Whitson

Danny Whitson grew up in a small town in Eastern Iowa. During his days in school, his interests revolved a lot around sports but also took time to play music in the High School band. Also taking part in plays and musicals that drew the public's attention. A few years after High School, Danny received a call from a group putting together a local variety show. This gave Danny the opportunity to perform in front of a large crowd. It was a success. It connected Danny with some local musicians to form his first band and play the local small town bar scene. During this time, Danny played most weekends and opened the door to writing his own songs. After 4 years with the band, Danny stepped away to focus on writing and to further increase his abilities on guitar and vocals. Filling in occasionally with bands from the much larger community of Cedar Rapids, gave Danny the much needed exposure and was eventually picked up by a very talented band in the Cedar Rapids area, "Lonesome Road". The band experienced a great deal of success. This was the launching pad for Danny to make the leap into music and to begin recording his music. Danny's first single, "Move On" experienced success being played on many radio stations in the US, Canada and the U.K. It has also allowed for many great opportunities including opening for Jerrod Niemann, Emerson Drive, Diamond Rio, Sawyer Brown and many others. Danny has been in music for years, but says, "This is only the beginning......I want to thank the many, many people that have been supportive over the years. My Mom, family, friends and fans."
