The THE BAND Band returns to Mauch Chunk Opera House for a special tribute to The Band and their mentor and long-time collaborator, Bob Dylan!Bob Dylan and The Band will forever be remembered as one of the most creative and influential musical partnerships in rock and roll history, from Dylan’s first world tour after “going electric” in 1965 to his roof-raising performance at The Last Waltz, The Band’s farewell concert in 1976, and beyond. For this special show, The THE BAND Band will honor that historic relationship by performing Dylan classics such as Like A Rolling Stone, All Along The Watchtower, and Just Like A Woman, as well as selections from The Basement Tapes collection, the 1967 collaboration between Dylan & The Band, and of course, well-loved Band favorites. A special acoustic solo performance by TTBB's Gary Solomon will highlight some of Dylan's material from his earlier "folk" period. The THE BAND Band is the most musically satisfying tribute to The Band on the scene today, bringing the music alive with authentic, true-to-form renditions of their extraordinary repertoire.
