Eric Burdon Biography

Eric Burdon was since 1964 part of the British Invasion and produced hits through the 70s and 80s. With his popular formations The Animals and Eric Burdon & The Animals he had some No. 1 hits, most famous House of the Rising Sun, San Franciscan Nights. The Animals were the third biggest band in the world, and bassist Chas Chandler as a producer later pushed some of the most important bands of the seventies, Slade.
Eric Burdon, after some troubles, moved to California, where he made some records with War, a mix of west coast, jazz, blues, and gospel music. Spill The Wine.

Without his experimental vocals, hip hop, rap, heavy metal, rock, pop and rnb would have a completely different face.

In the 70s, 80s and 90s he made solo career, Woman Of The Rings, Power Company, Darkness Darkness, No More Elmore, Bird On The Beach, Dey Won't, I Used To Be An Animal, Run For Your Life, Sixteen Tons and Kingsize Jones.
Later he was engaged in local environment politics and it seems he had finished his music career. But then he recorded a astonishing blues album in 2006: Soul of a Man.
