Russell Jacob Crowe Biography

Rocking audiences across the Southeastern United States and beyond, Tuscaloosa, Alabama native Russell Crowe has been a mainstay on the Southern rock and blues scene since the mid-1990's. With music that's been called "raucous," "hip-shaking and hook laden" and "catchy as hell" you're sure to walk away awed and entertained. A multi-instrumentalist, his use of guitars, harmonicas, mandolins and more make for an exciting show you won't soon forget. Having graced stages from the famous Tipitinas in New Orleans to the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Savannah, Georgia with countless bars, clubs, parties and frat houses in-between, 20-plus years of experience have helped to hone and craft a live show like no other. A former touring musician, Crowe has shared stages and opened for acts such as Edwin McCain, Darius Rucker, Soul Asylum, the North Mississippi All Stars, the Gin Blossoms and many more,

In addition to traveling and playing regularly across the Southern U.S., Crowe also now dedicates a large portion of his time to teaching future generations of musicians. In addition to private instruction, Crowe currently teaches blues history and guitar with the Alabama Blues Project - a non profit arts program that brings blues and music education into rural and low income areas across the state of Alabama.
