About this concert
The Box: Simon Patterson Paul Webster Sholan Kolonie 103: Ed Lynam Plus guests... A New Year means new Ministry of Sound music over the next twelve months! So first up is SIMON PATTERSON for an inaugural London show of 2019, in which he will proudly showcase an Astrix remix entitled ‘Take A Shot.’ Released on the ‘VII’ imprint, Patterson imparts his authority on the original with a hard hitting bassline – Simon very much in his element and how The Gallery likes it best! Last but not least, PAUL WEBSTER returns with his own fresh production. In the form of ‘Silencer’ on ‘Future Sound Of Egypt’ Clandestine, the FSOE sub-label which pays homage towards darker and more tech leaning sounds. Quite fitting then as with both Simon and Paul in control, the night’s theme is bound to follow this pattern.

Ed Lynam Biography

Ed started to learn how to DJ at the Cold Blend DJ course in Newcastle in January 2006, after completing the course in March of that year; Ed got a gig at the very popular Digital in Newcastle. Being 1 of very few DJs in England back then to get their 1st ever gig on the legendary Funktion One Sound Speaker System! And been 1 of the very 1st trance DJs to play at that venue!!

Since then Ed has travelled to many places showcasing his DJing abilities, such as regular appearances at The Gallery @ Ministry Of Sound (Including playing The Main Room, 103 and The Baby Box), Trance Sanctuary @ The Egg, The Rhythm Factory, Frantic @ Koko, Trancelucid @ Club 414, Digital Impact @ Plan B, and Friendz and Submerged Boat Parties in London. Also performing in Birmingham at the Rainbow Warehouses for Godskitchen. Ed has made many appearances also in his favourite place in the world; Ibiza. Where he has performed at Judgement Fridays@Eden, Connect@Privilege, Es Paradis, Ultraviolet@Play2, Driftwood@Itaca, Tropi Trance Bar, Tropicana’s, Akwa, @Night and Peppers 2. He also played 3 ASOT Pre-parties for AH.FM in Utrecht, Holland from 2014 – 2016. And he has also played twice in Sweden in Malmo and Trollhattan for Jam.FM. He has also graced festivals such as Soundwave, Sub Audio and Sussexfest.

Ed runs the increasingly popular radio show called Adrenalin Sessions that airs on the World's Biggest Trance Radio Station; Afterhours.FM every 4th Saturday of the month. And will reach 100 episodes in August 2016.

The style of music Ed plays is a very energetic blend of Tech Trance and Hard Trance with a bit of Hard Techno thrown in for good measure! He also likes to incorporate plenty of Mashups and bootlegs into his sets. And the occasional scratch or 2! But on the odd occasion likes to play the "softer" side of trance if asked nicely!!

Production wise. Ed had his 1st original single out in the summer of 2014, appropiately titled "Adrenalin”, and a year later in 2015 with “Epinephrine”. Ed has also been making a name for himself producing mashups under the alias “Dirty chef”. His 1st mashup of “DK8 vs Underworld – Murder Was the Slippy Bass” stormed the crowds he played to in the summer 2008 as well as causing chaos on the dance floor with "Enjoy The Silence For The Weekend" in 2012, "Advanced Bastard" in 2013,“Genetic Ping Pong Animals” and “Hybrid Spaceman” in 2014 and “Zero Voodoo” in 2015. Also in 2015 at Club414 he performed as Dirty Chef showcasing his mashups and mashing more tunes on the fly! A project that might return!

In 2013 Ed Lynam joined the Elevation Audio Label/Promo along with his good friend Lewis Duggleby as Audio, Web & Technology Manager as well as been resident closing DJ for the brand. Their hard work has lead to a string of releases in the Top 100 beatport Trance chart, as well as a monthly residency at Ministry of Sound, and other solo run events in London, Ibiza and Holland. 3 Years later the brand is strong as ever

With now a decade of experience, Ed continues to wow the crowds with energetic interaction, wearing his Oakley Sunglasses (No matter how dark it is!) and general all out enthusiasm behind the decks! Combine that with Ed’s lethally banging tunes and you’re in for some powerful ride!! Or as one fan described it: “Trance that is so hard, it makes my children cry!”
