UNLIKELY HEROES

The Txlips is a Black Woman rock band from Atlanta that came together to represent for women of color. They bring energy and a constant reminder that women rock. Check out their EP Queens of the New Age on Apple Music and SoundCloud. Unlikely Heroes is a psychedelic Hip-Hop/Punk band from Oakland, CA. This band has been making waves in and outside of their local scene with exciting/introspective jams that leave concert goers physically drained and mentally well-fed. This band has been compared to a unique blend of rapper Kid Cudi and band Rage Against the Machine for their witty/catchy conscious lyrics and unique blend of psy-punk beats that flow seamlessly even in their genre stretching style. Their self-titled EP is available on all streaming platforms. The Onyx is an all black female music ensemble. This collective of women came together to solidify unity among women of color and to provide an artistic outlet for the female voice to be heard. Hailing from and recalling styles of Oakland, Atlanta, New York and Chicago, this eclectic group brings soul, rock, funk and latin music to an electrifying peak that will have you on your feet!
