Lacey Canfield

Lacey Canfield has been on quite a journey since moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2012 from her hometown of Maple Grove, Minnesota to pursue her dream of becoming a songwriter and recording artist. It was the first time she was so far from home, but armed with her faith in God and a team of music industry heavyweights who stood behind her, it didn't take long for Canfield to feel she belonged here: "This place feels like home to me" Canfield says, "Singing, horses, song writing, the country, music city...everything I love is here in this place." But the journey wouldn't be easy.

In preparing for her first album of all original songs, Canfield's development team pushed her beyond her comfort zone and encouraged her to explore territory she hadn't yet tried, both as a musician, a songwriter, and an artist; "I've learned so much," Canfield explains, "It's been a growing experience to say the least. Stretching me way beyond my abilities sometimes. But, the whole process of learning how to write, learning how to play guitar, and recording my own songs has shaped me into who I am."

After three years, the journey and work has come to fruition with the release of "Oh Tennessee". Canfield couldn't be more candid about the personal connection she feels with the songs on this debut project: "This album is my heart... real stories, real things, real places. These songs have grown with me!" And listeners will know immediately that they are on a personal journey with the young singer/songwriter as they listen to the eight tracks of emotional outpouring on the album... love, joy, pain, faith, longing, strength. Afterwards, listeners will feel they have taken an intimate trip through Canfield's life so far, and will most certainly be eager to find out where the journey will lead next.
