Nick Howe Biography

“His infectious exuberance can’t help but draw you in” (Jamie West Oram) His songs are completely original" Les Reed (OBE, one of the greatest songwriters of all time) "Nick Howe is a startling and original talent of the first order. With brilliant songs and an awesome stage presence, he is undoubtedly an ascending star of great magnitude" Tim Wheater (Award winning composer) Nick is able to be self-expressive in ways that connect with audiences matched with a stage presence that will make even the harshest critics step back for a moment and watch. His sound has been described as a marriage between The Who and Jason Mraz. His catchy songs and contagious spirit win fans over instantly. In the last year he has performed over 300 gigs in 10 countries playing a plethora of venues and festivals including Glastonbury, the Natural History Museum and The Portsmouth Guildhall. He has worked with an array of songwriters including the hit songwriter Sam Brown. Nick is well known for the energy in his live performance and it's therefore no surprise that he has performed on national television and serenaded the Queen of Sweden and Bill Nighy. Amongst a booked out festival tour which includes performances at Glastonbury and his EP launch, he is currently organising an innovative unconventional tour with the aim of performing in museums, art galleries, skyscrapers and places of natural beauty all over the world, collaborating with various artists in the process. Nicks interests expand well beyond what might be expected as he not only campaigns to keep music free on the streets of London which lead him to appear and perform on ITV News, but also campaigned to help preserve the iconic south bank skate spot which broke the record for the most UK objections to a planning application. His grandmother Joan Turner, was the highest paid female entertainer of her time.
