Stormcellar Biography

Stormcellar is an international touring roots act from Australia with a string of critically acclaimed albums and 4 US tours already under their belts. Playing festivals across the US Midwest, Stormcellar has become a cult favourite in the American heartland.

With indie chart positions in the US, Canada, France and Australia, Stormcellar is returning to the US for their 4th tour and the release of their 8th studio album, becoming the first Australian band to have their original written songs recorded by authentic Kansas City Blues and Soul artists including DC Bellamy.

At heart, Stormcellar is a live performance band, with 9 years on the road in regional Australia and the US; playing no-horse-towns, clubs, pubs, festivals and arenas. Described as ‘James Taylor fronting the Rolling Stones’ by influential Americana press ‘No Depression’, their songwriting has gained the respect of peers both in Australia and in the US.

Stormcellar will be recording their 9th album in Indiana with producer Alan Johnson (Paul Rodgers/John Fogerty/Kid Rock/Larry Crane/Duke Tumatoe)
