Pill Squad Biography

Pill Squad consists of Vancouver & Victoria music scene veterans: lead singer Tracy Brooks and drummer Scott Beadle were in Vancouver 1980s band the Hip Type; guitarist-singer Tim Chan was in Victoria legends 64 Funnycars, and nowadays also fronts his own band China Syndrome; bassist-singer Ed Hurrell played in the Liquor Kings, and recently resurrected his own 1980's band Stab 'Em in the Abdomen.
Pill Squad play garage rock with strong vintage punk, glam-rock, power-pop and 70s AM radio rock tendencies. Touchstones include the Cramps, Blondie, the Damned, Modern Lovers, Avengers, Sonics, Replacements, Young Fresh Fellows, Fastbacks. They put out a self-titled EP in 2015, praised by Discorder Magazine as having "wit, style, and great pop-punk sensibilities." Live at The WISE Hall was released in 2016. Latest CD Pharmacopoeia was released in Fall 2017.
