Sam Glaser

Originally from Nottinghamshire, Sam moved to London into 2012 to study at the Royal Academy of Music after attending the Junior Jazz course for two years. As well as studying here with some of the UK's finest musicians and educators including Stan Sulzmann and Iain Ballamy, he has also been a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for five years, touring the UK and Europe extensively and performing and recording with musicians such as Jason Yarde, Julian Siegel and Nikki Iles.

Outside of education, Sam has performed with the Gareth Lockrane Big Band and Winston Rollins Big Band and is part of the Patchwork Jazz Orchestra. As well as writing and performing his own original music in various settings including his own Quartet, Sam also plays with the Matt Hurley band. Outside of jazz, Sam has toured extensively with and recorded for Gentleman's dub club and also recorded in horn sections for XOA and Slowly Rolling Camera.
