Dan Andersen Biography
Dan Andersen is an Austin, Texas based guitarist who
performs with the 2022 Composer's Collective,the Gil Del Bosque Quintet, and Grammy Winning trumpeter Pete Rodriguez. He has performed at the Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival, Cezanne Jazz Club and the Austin venues Elephant Room, Brass House, Parish Underground, One-2-One Bar, and the East Side Showroom.
As a leader, he recorded the album The Spark and appears as co-leader with trombonist Marco Katz on the EP entitled In New Orleans.
As part of the New Orleans music scene he performed at the city’s premier jazz club Snug Harbor. On the festival circuit, Dan appeared at in Northern California at Center Arts Presents, Bebop and Brew, and several times at the Redwood Jazz Festival. He holds a doctorate in studio/jazz guitar from the University of Southern California Thornton School Of Music.
