About this concert
Best known as one half of the legendary joint vocal strike force of The Men They Couldn't Hang, Phil Odgers strikes out on his own. Sharp songwriting - a journey through kitchen sink realism and social commentary. Phil's warm melodic voice and rhythmic strumming acoustic guitar take centre stage throughout, aided and abetted by fiddle, double bass and lead guitar in all the right places. \nDon't miss this rare and intimate concert featuring virtuoso fiddler Bobby Valentino, famous for being the man who co-wrote and played violin on The Bluebells 'Young at Heart'. Bobby has also played on records by Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Paul Weller to name but a few.

Bobby Valentino Biography
Bobby Valentino is a violinist, singer, songwriter and an occasional actor and model. On this site you will find information about all of these activities and more.
Bobby first came to fame in 1975 as a renegade virtuoso with the Fabulous Poodles and with them he released 3 albums and extensively toured Europe and the U.S.A.; they split in 1980. He is now known as a session violinist and lead singer/songwriter of the Americana band Los Pistoleros.
In between he has released 3 solo albums of his own songs, acted in films and TV commercials and has played live and recorded with the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Mark Knopfler, Big Country, Billy Bragg etc. He was also involved in a case in the High Court in London to obtain a writing credit on the classic hit “Young at Heart” by the Bluebells (he wrote the annoying violin hook line). www.bobbyvalentino.co.uk
