About this concert
SOLD OUT. Join the waiting list > www.theticketfairy.com/event/bay-dreams-2019/ Press release... Bay Dreams brings twice the magic in 2019! (R18 event) Line-up includes CARDI B, MIGOS, Tash Sultana, Shapeshifter, Sticky Fingers, Peking Duk (Live), $uicideboy$, Macky Gee, Pnau, Katchafire and many more The line-up for Bay Dreams 2019, presented by The Edge, has just been announced and as promised it’s twice the magic. Spread out over two locations - The Mount in the North Island and Nelson in the South Island. Promoters confirmed earlier this year that Bay Dreams, which has been held on January 2 in the Bay of Plenty for the last three years, was getting a sister festival in sunny Nelson, on January 4. Now they’re excited to reveal that some of the biggest names in music will play at both The Mount and Nelson, with top-notch line-ups also confirmed for pre-parties in both spots. In true Bay Dreams fashion, there are still more acts to be announced in the coming weeks, including a major scale hip hop artist for the North Island event. The chart-topping, history-making American hip-hop trio Migos has been confirmed for Bay Dreams 2019, headlining the North Island event in Mount Maunganui. The Grammy-nominated act (made up of rappers Quavo, Offset and Takeoff) has released a string of critically-acclaimed, record breaking albums, including 2017’s CULTURE, followed by this year’s CULTURE II, both of which topped the US Billboard 200. Minos joins a talent-packed line-up of acts already announced to play at the North Island festival, as well as the massive warm-up party. The big hitters at both festivals include Kiwi legends Shapeshifter, who will play at the pre-party in The Mount on January 1 and headline in Nelson on January 4; Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana; Sticky Fingers, who recently played two sold-out shows in Auckland; Peking Duk and their energetic new live show; $uicideboy$ on one of the main stages this round due to massive demand; British DJ and Producer Macky Gee who returns to these shores after recently selling-out his NZ shows in a matter of minutes; Pnau who are playing their first-ever show on Kiwi soil; and the ever-impressive Katchafire. Bay Dreams has established itself as New Zealand’s biggest festival, selling out year after year. And now with the event being held across two islands, and close to some of the best beaches and holiday hot spots in the world, it’s gearing up to be the highlight of the Kiwi summer. Both locations now boast two main stages for the first time.
