Austin Traditional Jazz Society

Austin Traditional Jazz Society is excited to introduce this amazing traditional jazz band to Austin on January 6. This Kid Ory tribute band takes its name from a San Francisco nightclub owned by Kid Ory from 1958 to 1961.  The well-blended front line of Clint Baker, Ben Polcer and Joe Goldberg backed by the New Orleans swing of Hal Smith, Kris Tokarski, Joshua Gouzy and Alex Belhaj produces a sound that pays homage to the Kid Ory tradition.  The band delights in playing danceable music from a traditional repertoire that includes stomps, rags, marches, blues and vintage popular songs. The band will be coming off their appearance at the San Diego Jazz Festival. Please join us on Sunday, January 6 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Cap City Comedy Club for this very special performance.
