SHAPESHIFTED - PLAYING KICK ASS ROCK'N'ROLL SINCE 2011
​Shapeshifted bestaat uit vier ervaren muzikanten: zanger-gitarist Marc Van der Eecken (The Highway Band, Sugar & Cream, The Shrimptons), gitarist Pieter Minne (Southern Voodoo, 70's Tush, Dandelion, Buzzkill Baby), bassist Jean-Marc Talloen (Red Zebra, Guy Swinnen Band, Letz Zeppelin, Derek & the Dirt, Weez) en drummer Peter De Bosschere (An Pierlé, Derek & the Dirt, Weez, Give Buzze, Needle & the Pain Reaction).

De band werd opgericht in 2011 en kende na de eerste vier jaren enkele personeelswissels. Mei 2019 besloten de vier originele groepsleden opnieuw samen te komen.
Sinds het eerste optreden in mei 2011 speelde de band ruim 200 concerten. Shapeshifted staat bekend om zijn energieke live optredens. De muziek wordt vaak vergeleken met die van The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Dr. Feelgood.
Shapeshifted speelde drie keer in de Gentse Charlatan, Kinky Star, Zenith, Petit Tonneau, Le Montmartre, Festival Acosse, Festival Nandrin, Castle Rock, More Blues Festival ... In 2015 werd de band uitgenodigd als headliner op Puglia Rock in Ostuni (IT).
De debuut cd "Shapeshifter" werd uitgebracht in 2012 en werd grijsgedraaid op RTBF Classic 21. "Spit it Out" de eerste single uit de opvolger "Old Nick's Fire" stond maandenlang in de top 20 van Virgin Radio Italy. In het jaaroverzicht 2014 van Rolling Stone Magazine Italy stond het nummer op 9. "Spit it Out" is bovendien terug te vinden op de compilatie cd Virgin Radio Style Rock 6.

​SHAPESHIFTED is a rock band from Ghent, Belgium. Formed in 2011. SHAPESHIFTED plays a powerful style of Rock’n’Roll and blues rock, not afraid to show where their influences lie: Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Dr. Feelgood… Nothing new there one might say, but hasn’t this been the case for several decades now? After all, every new rock band owes a debt of gratitude to artists from the 60’s, 70’s and beyond. The question is, what are they doing with the sounds from these wild bygone days?
This is where SHAPESHIFTED really stands out, playing with a fervor that brings us back to the glory days of rock but without ever sounding dated. On the contrary, this eccentric mix serves up a raw sound that firmly sticks its middle finger up at any convention, tradition or buttoned-up normality. The five group members have long-standing reputations anchored in the Belgian musical scene for quite a while now, at the heart of bands such as Red Zebra, Guy Swinnen Band, Letz Zeppelin, Derek & the Dirt, Weez, Give Buzze, Needle & the Pain Reaction, Southern Voodoo, The Highway Band …

SHAPESHIFTED est un groupe de rock gantois fondé en 2011 par Marc Van der Eecken.
SHAPESHIFTED joue un rock’n’roll gras et puissant, qui ne cache pas ses influences : les Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Dr. Feelgood. Rien de neuf sous le soleil ? C’est vrai, mais, avouons-le, ça fait quelques décennies que c’est le cas. Tous les nouveaux groupes de rock ont une dette envers des artistes des années '60 ou '70, ou même antérieurs. La question est : que font-ils avec le son de ces années-là ?
C’est là que SHAPESHIFTED sort de la mêlée. Leur approche vous fait remonter le temps en un éclair, sans que jamais que le son paraisse daté. Bien au contraire. Ce mix hétéroclite vous sert son rock brut en faisant un doigt d’honneur à tout ce qui est conventions et traditions. Les quatre membres du groupe ont tous à leur actif de longues années de carrière dans la scène musicale belge, au sein de formations comme Red Zebra, Guy Swinnen Band, Letz Zeppelin, Derek & the Dirt, Weez, Give Buzze, Needle & the Pain Reaction, Southern Voodoo, The Highway Band …
