DJ J.Dough Biography

Korion Davele Wilson, soon to be known as DJ J. Dough(Johnny Dough), was born to Mr. Stanford Wilson and Mrs. Hermenia Wilson on August 15, 1987 In Cincinnati,OH. At the age of 4, DJ J. Dough’s mother bought him his first drum set not knowing that it would be the cause of many noisy nights and the eye opener for his unique talents and musical career. DJ J. Dough would stay up past his bedtime or wake up in the middle of the night practicing on his drum set not caring if he woke everyone in the house. By the time DJ J. Dough was 6, he had developed a love for the arts and learned the basics of multiple music instruments such as the Drums, Saxophone, Bongos, Keyboard, and the piano. He also developed other talents such as drawing, singing, dancing, and acting. Prior to entering the 6th grade, DJ J. Dough had auditioned and was accepted into 6 out of the 7 departments at The School for Creative and Performing Arts (S.C.P.A) in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his 1st year at SCPA, DJ J. Dough and a few of his classmates formed a rap group called “007” later changing their name to “Tha 06 Crew (06 standing for the year they graduated from High School).” By the 7th grade, “Tha 06 Crew” Had performed in numerous talent shows and school showcases all over the city of Cincinnati. They had also started promoting for a local club called Annie’s own by Young Jeezy’s former tour manager, Ron Staples to earn some money for their group which didn’t last long because the security from different clubs would chase them out of the parking lot accusing them for breaking into cars. For Christmas that year DJ J. Dough’s mother bought him his 1st set of turntables which he begged her for the whole year. DJ J. Dough started visiting different clubs and parties with former DJ and schoolmate Ronnie Donnie and Cincinnati’s Famous DJ Clockwork who both taught him the basics on how to spin and keep the party jumping. He also started to DJ at numerous School activities and events, house parties, and block parties that many of his schoolmates requested him to do! By DJ J.Dough’s junior year in high school he had left SCPA and started attending school at Withrow High School where he joined the Withrow High School Marching Band and what he thought was the end of his DJ’n career. After transferring to Withrow he met up with some of his old childhood friends, Chris “J. Muzik” Ingram and James “J. Semaj" Henderson. It was them that introduced him to 3 of their friends and later on they started their own Entertainment Company called “Johnny Boy Entertainment (JBE).” “JBE” became known across the city for some of the best parties Cincinnati had to offer. “JBE” shortly started to branch off into different division such as JBEnt, JBE Graphics, JBE Lawn Care, Johnny Cutz (Hair Stylist), JBE Promotions, JBE Comedy, and The JBE Network to expand their horizon and to accommodate each of their many talents. After graduating High School, DJ J. Dough moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where J. Muzik and he attended Stillman College. Carrying the JBE Name, they started an R&B group called the Johnny Boyz where they recorded Stillman’s hit songs Johnny Boy love and Demolished. By his sophomore year in college J. Muzik had left Stillman leaving DJ J. Dough no other choice but to make things happen on his own. DJ J. Dough started his own entertainment company called Johnny Boy Entertainment South, where he started promoting different clubs and parties around the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham area. After realizing Alabama really didn’t have a big hip-hop scene, DJ J. Dough started back DJ’n by the end of 2007. Feb of 2008 DJ J. Dough had become an Intern for Atlantic Records where he held the position as a College Representative and a promoter. By April of 2008 DJ J. Dough had landed a DJ Position at WVUA 90.7FM The Capstone (The University of Alabama’s Radio Station) being one of the two Hip-Hop DJ’s with the goal of taking the station to new heights and to be known as a legend in the Industry WORLDWIDE! As of now, DJ J. Dough is the youngest and most connected Club/Radio/ and Mix tape DJ in the State of Alabama being featured on various underground artist mix tapes. When asked, when will you feel like you have succeeded? His answer was, “When EVERYBODY in the WORLD respects me for what I do and how I do it and they realize that I’m one of the hardest young people out here doing it big, until then, my job is unfinished!” For more information on DJ J.
